 Middle East

The Middle East is the alpha and omega of human history. They have a lot problems and all the oil comes from there. They are okay with money.  The Middle East used to describe the area covering 16 countries & states in northeastern Africa and, southwestern Asia.  The Middle East is the most ancient region of human civilization. Over the next 12,000 years many different great civilizations and cultures developed from or invaded the area. The Middle East has been the center of more than 20 major conflicts from the Persian-Greek Wars to the Crusades to the Iran-Iraq War. After World War I, the decline and dismemberment of the Ottoman Empire marked the beginning of a new stage of conflict over territory centering around the lands of Palestine. And today they have 92% 92% of the population 292 million people are Muslims, the Middle East is the geographic and emotional center of three of the world's great religions: Islam, Christianity, and Judaism.

Iraq

The religious population contains both Sunni and Shiite Muslims, as well as Christians and some Jews. Iraq has the distinction of being the home to a thriving civilization since the 6th millennium BC. In ancient history the area was referred to as Mesopotamia and was part of many of the great empires of the ancient world. The existing nation of Iraq started in 1932. Iraq’s leader Saddam Hussein invaded the nation of Kuwait in 1991 and the United States, after fighting a brief war and expelling Iraqi forces spent over 10 years hoping that he would be toppled by revolution. It's messy and Iraq is the scariest place to be at because you are fighting  to safe your country. it's ugly to see people hurt and a lot of people are so mean to each other they just don't care anymore so they just want to fight. on 9/11 that was crazy how that happen and lost so many people that day and yes we all know this world is not always fair. Tens of thousands of Iraqis died in the fighting that followed, although there are no firm estimates.

Israel

The State of Israel was proclaimed on 14 May 1948, the culmination of nearly 2,000 years of hopes by Jewish people that they would one day return to the land from which the Romans expelled them. The Holocaust of European Jewry in the Second World War strengthened their determination. its been very hard for everybody and its hard plave to live there. The israelis had used the 10 years since the sinai invasion to build up their air force.  They launched their air force with devastating effect in a pre-emptive strike against Egypt and followed up with victories over Jordan and Syria. The war ended after six days, with Israel in control of the Sinai, Gaza, the West Bank, the Golan Heights and Jerusalem. The Egyptians gained a bridgehead across the canal but were eventually outflanked when the Israelis crossed to the west of the canal. Egypt accepted a ceasefire. In the meantime, the Israelis had counter-attacked against the Syrians who had taken the Golan Heights and forced them back, approaching Damascus itself.  Israel and Egypt sign a peace treaty to end 30 years of war. A dramatic visit to Jerusalem by the Egyptian President Anwar Sadat in 1977 opened the doors to a peace agreement between Egypt and Israel, the first and most important of the agreements between Israel and its neighbours.
